About the Artist

My artistic journey began in 2010 in Somerset West, South Africa, with the creation of TaylorJewel. What started as childhood sketches blossomed into a passion for crafting bespoke jewelry pieces, fueling my creative spirit while residing in Fish Hoek, Cape Town.

In a significant life change, I brought TaylorJewel across the globe to Davis County, Utah. Here, the brand continues to thrive, blending South African artistic roots with American innovation. This transition also profoundly amplified my passion for painting and photography.

My inspirations are diverse. I draw heavily from the dramatic beauty of natural landscapes – from the wild expanse of Yellowstone to the iconic vistas of Cape Town. Traveling through 9 different countries has shaped my perspective, offering a rich tapestry of cultures and colors.

Unexpectedly, perhaps, I'm also an avid rock concert enthusiast! The raw energy and dynamic lighting at live shows often inspire abstract paintings and unique subjects for my photography. My eye for detail, honed over years of intricate jewelry design, carries over into how I compose my art.
